Lisa Vitale, President
Lisa brings more than 20 years of marketing strategy experience to SimplyDIRECT, focusing on delivering client campaigns on schedule and on spec. She started at SimplyDIRECT as its CFO. Previously, Lisa worked for the Boston Museum of Fine Arts and Phillip Johnson & Associates. She is the founder of the Sudbury Day Festival, and is a member of EO Boston (Entrepreneurs Organization). Lisa holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Maine.
Douglas Barth, Partner
Doug founded SimplyDIRECT in 1997 after starting two earlier direct marketing companies. A pioneer in using surveys deployed into target accounts, his is the original ABM (Account Based Marketing) model. Barth was an account manager at BBDO Direct, VP marketing at Strategic Software, and GM at The Programmer’s Shop. He holds degrees from Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government and Amherst College, and serves on the boards of Ti SALES, LinearAir and the MetroWest Free Medical Program. Certified as an FAA flight instructor, he has flown everything from hang gliders to twin engine aircraft.
T. Paul Thomas, CEO, HST
Paul’s background includes nearly 25 years of sales, marketing and operations experience from leading companies such as Compaq, Apple and Secure Computing. Paul is an eight time CEO and president. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Northern Arizona University. He serves on the board of directors for New Jersey based Armanta, Inc.; Trade Winds Aviation in San Jose, CA; the Northern Arizona University Foundation Board; as well as the Northern Arizona University, College of Business Administration National Advisory Board. He is a former member of the Young President Organization (NorCal and Arizona Chapters).
William Herp, President and CEO, Linear Air
William is one of today’s leading entrepreneurs, with a long history of launching companies and growing them exponentially. Prior to Linear Air, he founded the widely recognized eDialog, a global online marketing technology firm that reenvisioned email and marketing services, quickly becoming a must buy for U.S. and multinational brands. He has also served as VP and CFO of Geerlings & Wade. William holds a Master’s degree in usiness Administration from Harvard and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Notre Dame. He is an instrument rated commercial pilot and a leading member of the community who serves young entrepreneurs on the board of directors of Junior Achievement of Eastern Massachusetts.
Susan Grayson Stone, Director, HR Leader, Financial Management Solutions, Intuit
Susan is a seasoned leader with more than 25 years’ experience in marketing, product development and general management. Since 2002, she has held a variety of marketing leadership positions at Intuit, and for two years led the Marketing Service Organization within the central marketing function. She currently leads Strategic Partnerships for the Payment Solutions Division. Before that, Susan spent many years in catalog, database, direct response and online marketing, including roles at Dun & Bradstreet, Entrepreneur Media, The Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, Gardener’s Supply Company and the Trapp Family Lodge & Guest Houses. She is frequently sought as a speaker, teacher and mentor, and is proudest of her ability to grow leaders and teams.
